Winston lives in Singapore, but he acquired a passion for ‘plein air’ painting during many years of residence in the UK. He believes that the luminosity of watercolour is a unique quality unmatched by other media.
His development as a watercolourist owes much to mentoring by the late James Fletcher-Watson, John Yardley and Ken Howard. He travels and exhibits widely. In recent years, he has shown in London, Switzerland, France, Singapore, and other Asian cities.
He writes articles for The Artist magazine, and teaches watercolour courses at Dedham, Suffolk.
